The college is committed in ensuring the well-being of its students and staff by providing 24×7 medical care. Recognizing healthcare as a fundamental necessity, the institution has established comprehensive health facilities both on-campus and in hostels.
Health Centre and Medical Officer
A Registered Medical Practitioner (RMP) serves as the appointed Medical Officer to address immediate health needs. The Health Centre is equipped to provide first aid and basic medical care, with essential equipment such as thermometers, sterilizers, autoclaves, dressing drums, weight scales, BP apparatus, wheelchairs, patient beds, and stretchers.
Emergency and Referral Services
In case of critical health issues or complications, students/staff are referred to the Primary Health Centre (PHC) at Budampadu village which is around 1 km from the campus, or the Govt. General Hospital (GGH) in Guntur City. A van (Maruti Eeco) service is available 24×7 to ensure timely transportation during emergencies.
On-Campus Dispensary and First Aid
The institution operates an on-campus first-aid room to meet routine medical needs and provide first-aid services at no cost. The dispensary also offers consultation services to faculty and staff members.
Health Education and Monitoring
The institution promotes health awareness and conducts routine medical checkup camps in association with Konaac Diagnostics, and reputed super specialty hospitals in Guntur. Additionally, the medical staff oversees food quality in the hostel mess and canteen to ensure hygiene and safety standards.
Duties and Responsibilities of the Health Monitoring Team
- Conducting consultations and physical examinations on campus and in hostels.
- Administering medication and treating minor injuries or accidents occurring in laboratories.
- Promoting health education among students and staff.
- Providing free medical care for all students and employees.
